Vedrarias Music Price – 14th Edition
The Vedrarias Musique Prize, which celebrates the musical creation, enters its 14th edition this year. The competition highlights the works of emerging composers and encourages innovation in contemporary music. The official announcement of the competition theme and the launch of entries are scheduled for the end of October 2025.
Candidate scores can be submitted until March or April 2026. The works will be evaluated by a jury of music professionals, who will take into account the creativity, originality and artistic quality of the compositions.
The public final of the competition will take place, as in previous years, in the city of Verrières le Buisson in France. The event is scheduled for October or November 2026, and represents a unique opportunity to discover new talent and celebrate musical talent. Details of the exact venue and date of the final will be announced at a later date, but music fans can already mark these dates in their calendars to make sure they don’t miss out on this not-to-be-missed event.
About the 2024 edition :
Jean-Mathias PETRI’s multi-winner 7 tableaux was remarkably performed again in March 2024 by the ensemble Résonances XXI.
As announced on January 19, Jean-Mathias PETRI’s 7 tableaux will be the highlight of the concert dedicated to low flutes. This concert is an important event in the musical calendar, as it showcases the varied talents of the Résonances XXI ensemble, which has been invited to perform at the VII° Convention Internationale de la flûte. The convention runs from Wednesday October 29 to Sunday November 2. The performance by the Résonnance XXI flute ensemble will take place on Friday October 31st at 11am at the Conservatoire Jean-Baptiste Lully, located at 5 Rue Francis de Pressensé, 92800 – Puteaux.
